Adding a VPN connection to Windows 10

1) Click on the Windows / Start button in the bottom left corner.
2) Type VPN and then click "Add a VPN connection" (Fig.1)
3) In the settings window that opens click "Add a VPN connection" again. (Fig. 2)
4) Fill in the details as below (Fig.3):
  1. VPN Provider: Windows (built-in)
  2. Connection Name: This can be anything your like, it's just a way to identify the different connections if you have more then one.
  3. Server name or address: This will be provided to you by Inspired Dwellings and will normally be <unique_name>.inspiredremote.com
  4. VPN type: L2TP/IPsec with pre-shared key
  5. Pre-shared key: This will also be provided to you and may also be called a PSK.
  6. Type of sign-in info: Username and password
  7. Username (optional): Provided by Inspired Dwellings this will be unique to you. You can enter it here to have Windows save this for you or you can leave this box empty to be asked each time you connect.
  8. Password (optional): Provided by Inspired Dwellings this will be unique to you. You can enter it here to have Windows save this for you or you can leave this box empty to be asked each time you connect.
5) Click save
6) You can now connect to the VPN by clicking on your Wi-Fi or Ethernet icon next to the clock in the Windows taskbar and clicking on the name of the VPN and then Connect. (Fig.4)
